ABOUT CARLOS AZNAREZ
Carlos Aznarez is a multi-talented artist hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay. He excels as a classical and film scoring composer, songwriter, opera tenor, and Musical Theater actor. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a dual degree in Composition and Film Scoring, he has achieved remarkable success throughout his career.
As a composer, one of his career highlights was the premiere of his Requiem in Memoriam at the Montevideo Cathedral, garnering immense critical acclaim. In addition to his composing talents, Carlos is also a gifted singer and vocal coach, sharing his expertise and nurturing the talents of aspiring artists.
Carlos has a passion for introducing opera to young audiences, evident in his 2013 children’s opera “Caperucita Roja” (Little Red Riding Hood), which premiered at the prestigious Bellas Artes Theater in Madrid, Spain, and continues to captivate audiences nationwide.
His dedication to music and the arts has earned him numerous awards from organizations such as Jeunesse Musicale International , and FONAM (National Music Fund) in Uruguay, and the Mabel Veleris Musical Theater Contest in Argentina.
Carlos has sung at renowned venues like the Teatro Real (Royal Opera House) of Madrid and the Grand Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, among others. He was invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the Second World Congress on Global Warming and Climate Change, held at the National Auditorium of Montevideo, Uruguay.
As a versatile artist and dedicated, Carlos shares his knowledge and passion for music, guiding and inspiring the next generation of artists. Currently, he remains actively engaged in classical and film scoring projects, continually pushing the boundaries of his creative endeavors while nurturing the talents of others.
